UVM Learning Community Preferences

Living in the UVM on-campus residence halls is one of the best ways to experience American college life and to make local friends. UVM helps make your transition to living in a new environment even easier by offering themed communities called Learning Communities. This means that your roommate and people in your residence hall are interested in the same topic as you so you are living with likeminded people and get to do activities you are all interested in together.

Learning Communities strengthen your connection with those that you live with and make it easier for you to become friends with local students (Americans) and students from different countries. Being friends with people from other countries is also a great way to practice English outside the classroom! For more infomation about Learning Communities, please refer to the E-mail titled "UVM Housing" sent to your UVM E-mail address.
