BRCA Online Survey

This study is assessing the type of information, content and quality of physician-patient communication for individuals with BRCA 1 or 2 prescribed hormone replacement therapy (HRT) following a risk-reducing bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy (RRBSO). The type and quality of information by physicians will provide insight into the factors used for HRT treatment decisions. The survey questions assess respondent demographics, personal and family histories, the decision for hormone or estrogen replacement, communication content and quality, and counseling received by healthcare providers. The analysis of these surveys will be used to drive organizational change and overall recommendations for physicians. The goal of the study is to improve use of hormone replacement in women who have undergone bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy.
